Hello !

I am Emilie Iggiotti, a Montreal wedding photographer also servicing the areas of Toronto, Ottawa as well as destination weddings (especially France and Italy).

Before I became a wedding photographer, I was a business lawyer. Then one day, I decided that I wanted to wake up everyday and be happy with my life. So I quit and began to follow my passion and become a professional wedding photographer.

I started my photography business in France in 2010 and I quicky realized that it was meant for me as it was the perfect mix of two important elements: people and photography.

My approach to wedding photography is what I would call a documentary approach.  I love capturing the moments as they happen before my eyes instead of staging fake scenes. My goal is to photograph natural and candid moments that the bride and groom will remember with nostalgia and emotion.

I love modern and creative wedding photography but I do believe that wedding photos should be timeless and romantic, and that they should not reflect a trend that could someday become old-fashioned. I love simple and colorful images, but I also like beautiful black and white images that will remain elegant through the years.

My way of working is based on a very personal approach. I like knowing my clients and meeting them before the wedding. Since I will be part of their wedding day, it’s important that they feel at ease with me. For that reason I love photographing engagement sessions before the wedding, as they are a good way to get to know each other and to create a connection that will make all the difference on the wedding day.

Trust is key, and I want my clients to trust me and live their wedding day in the most peaceful atmosphere.

Je suis Emilie Iggiotti, photographe de mariage basée à Montréal qui couvre également les régions de Toronto, Ottawa ainsi que les mariages de destination.

Avant d’être photographe de mariage, je travaillais comme juriste d’entreprise. Mais un jour, j’ai décidé que je voulais me lever le matin et être heureuse de la vie que j’ai. Donc, j’ai quitté mon emploi de juriste pour devenir photographe de mariage professionelle.

J’ai commencé à photographier des mariages en France en 2010 et j’ai vite réalisé que ce travail était fait pour moi car il alliait deux choses primordiales pour moi : l’humain et la photographie.

Mon approche de la photographie est une approche documentaire puisque j’aime capturer les moments tels qu’ils apparaissent devant mes yeux plutôt que d’essayer de créer des moments factices. Mon but est de photographier des moments naturels et pris sur le vif, moments dont les mariés se souviendront ensuite avec nostalgie et émotion.

J’aime la photographie moderne et créative mais je pense sincèrement que les photos de mariage devraient être intemporelles et ne pas refléter une époque ou une mode. J’aime les photos simples et colorées, ainsi que les images en noir et blanc qui pourront voyager à travers le temps.

Ma manière de travailler est basée sur une approche très personnelle. J’aime connaître mes clients et j’aime les rencontrer avant le mariage. Comme je vais faire partie de leur journée de mariage, c’est important pour moi qu’ils soient à l’aise avec moi. C’est pourquoi j’aime photographier des séances fiançailles (engagement) avant le mariage, c’est un bon moyen d’apprendre à se connaître et de créer une connexion qui changera tout le jour du mariage.

Tout est histoire de confiance et je veux que mes clients me fassent confiance et vivent leur journée de mariage en toute sérénité.
