You deserve to be in the picture

You deserve to be in the picture

She is always running after time. She wants to slow down but there is always something to do on the to-do list.
She is tired but she does not tell anyone, because she feels like she can’t complain.
She looks at her kids growing up and her heart does that thing where it’s breaking a little bit. She can’t believe they are this age already. Where did the time go?
She wants to freeze the time but she also can’t wait to see what things they are going to accomplish in their lives.
She is always torn between nostalgia and excitement for the future.
She wants to soak it in as much as she can. But she is always moving on to the next task.
She is here and thinking ahead at the same time.
She is simultaneously the witness and the main character of the story.
She is the mother, the guardian of all memories.

This is my face

This is my face

This is my face, y’all.⁣

⁣Not the face I make when I try to be sexy on Instagram.⁣

⁣This is my REAL face.⁣

⁣This is the face I make when I am laughing really hard, and you can’t see my eyes anymore, and you can almost count all my teeth (I am missing a few, thank you braces!).⁣

⁣That’s the face of joy and happiness.⁣

⁣I used to not like that face. Too many teeth. Big nose. Double chin. My skin is not perfect.⁣

⁣But I realized that this is the face people see all the time, and they seem to like my face because they don’t run away with fear in their eyes when they see me.⁣

⁣So I learned to like my face, and my all self.⁣

⁣It’s a process, I won’t lie to you.⁣

⁣But maybe learn to like your face too. Especially if you are a woman and people tell you that you need to change your face to be liked/loved.⁣

⁣You don’t.⁣

⁣I like your face. Your face is your face.⁣

⁣And it’s also okay to do things that make you feel more confident (like, getting braces, lol).⁣

⁣But do it for you, not for the haters.⁣

⁣Anyway, this is my face.⁣

⁣You are welcome!⁣

⁣Have a good day!⁣

Hello 2020!

Hello 2020!

Hello friends!

Last time I blogged was in June 2019. I decided to try again this year. No, it’s not a resolution. Haha!

So, what happened in 2019? A lot! But we are going to focus on 2020.

Here are a few things I want you to know about this year. I want to talk about the things that worked in 2019 and that will continue this year:

  • my Empowered Portraits have been such a success! My clients love that short and sweet session that leaves them with fun photos that actually look like them. Check it out here!
  • my Editorial Motherhood Portraits have been a big hit too. Mothers need to be in front of the camera with their kiddos. I had the pleasure of having some sweet motherhood sessions in my studio and I am excited about the upcoming ones.
  • of course, the Truth in You sessions are still there. They have become a landmark in my marketing and I am proud to tell you that lots of women have stepped in front of my camera and been brave enough to share their truth with me, and sometimes the world.

These sessions are staying in 2020 and I hope I will see you in front of my camera soon.

Editorial Motherhood Portraits

Editorial Motherhood Portraits

For this year’s Mother’s Day, I wanted to celebrate motherhood with beautiful editorial portraits. Motherhood is challenging and can be hard. Mothers deserve a break sometimes. But I know that what they cherish the most is a gorgeous photograph with their kids.

All they want is a lovely picture of them with their children. Of course, we all have great phones now and kids have their life documented every day. But it’s important for moms to be in the picture. That’s why I wanted to offer these editorial portraits.

Take a look at all the beautiful families who booked a session with me!

And these kids are just the cutest!

I would love to photograph some dads, so send me a message if you want to book a Father’s Day photo session.

Editorial portrait session in Edmonton

Editorial portrait session in Edmonton

Taking portraits is my favourite thing to do. I am never tired of photographing people, but it gets even more interesting when I get to photograph someone so beautiful as Monique. I found Monique on Instagram. She is a young model in Edmonton. I kept seeing photos of her popping up in my feed. So, I decided that I wanted to do an editorial portrait session with her. And that’s what we did!

Monique is incredible. Sweet, professional, so good at posing and those freckles!!! I can’t get enough of her face! Haha!

Enjoy the photos!

Monique is represented by World MGMT.
