Blogging about our review of the year is not popular anymore. Now, we stick to Instagram and the top 9 most liked images on the app.
But I wanted to show you what my year looked like, from my point of view. The images that stayed with me, even after the session was done and delivered.
And I am looking forward to seeing you in front of my camera in 2020! Let’s talk!
Do you need new headshots?
Or as I call them, “professional portraits”?
I just got this amazing backdrop and I would love to get some people in front of my camera.
First, I thought of doing a “marathon” day of shoots where I would have maybe 10 people coming in one day for a 30 min session.
However, I realized that I was doing these marathon shoots because everyone else was doing it. But to be honest, I hate being stressed and these days would be extremely stressful for me. One of my life goals is to live a peaceful life aligned with my values, and basically, these shoots would just kill my soul.
I love talking to people, I love taking my time, especially if I am photographing you. Even if it’s a 30 min shoot, I want to take the time to get to know you. I don’t want to rush you out the door if we are having a meaningful conversation.
So, I am breaking up with the marathon shoots, or mini sessions or whatever you want to call them.
But I still want to photograph you and offering affordable portrait sessions for people who need a good and simple portrait.
***We don’t even have to use this backdrop. We can use my plain walls or a beige backdrop.
So here are the details of these simple portraits:
– The cost: $250 + GST
– The details: 30 min shoot + 10 images included.
– Location: My home studio in Edmonton.

Wow, I can’t believe it’s 2017 already. Yeah, I know, another boring blog post about someone else’s 2017 goals. No, don’t worry, I won’t bore you with that.
Actually, I don’t plan to set up a list of goals for 2017. I know business coaches tell you that you have to have a clear vision of your goals so you can reach them and accomplish what is on your list. But the truth is this course for competition is not for me. My goals in life are pretty simple: live a simple, healthy life, be kind, be happy and live with a purpose. I don’t need business goals, fitness goals or social media goals. The goals that I have in my heart are the most important and I want to keep them for me.
The new year is just another day for me, but also the opportunity to start something new. It’s a fresh new canvas, a new blank page in my notebook. Not everything is suddenly new and better, it takes a lot of time to change and be better at something. But the possibilities are here. And we have 365 days to get there.
So, I am not going to bore you with a list of unrealistic goals. I am just going to wish me a happy year, full of laughter, good times, in great company, a good health, a year full of business opportunities, a year of growth for my business and my photography, lots of travels, lots of pizza and good coffee.
