A few months ago, I was being asked to be part of a special project called The Traveling Dress Collective. Different groups of photographers would be formed, different teams. Each team will get to order or pick a dress of their choice. Then, each member of the group had to photograph the dress the way they want, and then send the dress to the next person on the list. etc. Of course, we had to hold on the photos until every member of the group has shot the dress. So, this means, no sharing, no post on social media, no sneak peek… we had to shoot and keep it secret! Fun, right?!
So, I got the dress in August. I was supposed to shoot it as soon as I got it, but you know, life happened and I almost forgot about it… until I had to travel to New Brunswick for two weeks. I knew it had to be done before my trip… because I hate letting people down and I felt so lame. So, I made it happen. I contacted the lovely Devyn, and she agreed to pose for me again. What a sweetheart!
Thanks to Devyn for being such a trooper. She did her own make-up, and we explored some weird areas of Edmonton for the shoot.
I love how everyone photographed the dress differently. Be sure to check out how the other ladies on Carol’s team brought their vision to life: Kristen Kaiser, Mari Trancoso, Coleen Hodges, Abbie Rose, Randi Kreckman, and Carol of course.
